Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. When we dwell in who he is, entrusting ourselves to him, we gain an eternal perspective to see that in the stretching, refining, suffering, and growing he is at work. We are propelled into a faith that does not waver and solely depends on him, for it is all by his grace and all for his glory. We trust, leaning not onto our understanding, but in his because what he wants to show and teach us is far greater than anything the world would have us believe. 

He never promised it would be easy, and it definitely isn’t. There are times when we fall to our knees, wondering if we can go on. The trek seems impossible as we look up to find it reaching the skyline. Our feet ache beneath us. Our shoulders are weary from the burdens we carry. At times, we feel like we’re the only ones braving the unbeaten path. 

I want you to know that the One has gone before you. And because of that, He can comfort you now. (Hebrews 2)

He sees you.

He will never leave you.

He has walked the path before you.

He will bring you safely through.

Surely God is in this place. So draw near. Lift your weary neck, and draw near. Drink from the living water he has provided. Gain strength from the bread of life. Walk on the way. Press on. He is faithful. He sets the land before us. He fights for us. He carries us. He shows us the way. He dwells with us.

From the depths of the valleys and hills to the uneven ground beneath us, to the rugged places in between, all the way to the tops of the mountains, may each step that we take draw us closer to Him. May we always see his goodness, and trust that no matter what the terrain holds surely God is in this place.

I do the only thing I know to do
That is to surrender it all to Him. 
When endurance seems to be tapering off,

Despair trying to blur vision,
Here His power unfolds-
Faith in Him sustains and prevails. 

My prayer is that this mug would remind you that in the midst of it all– seek Him. May we incline our hearts to look for Him. He is with you. Exalt His name. Remember His goodness.

The Bible is God’s voice to us.  Prayer is our voice lifted to Him. God invites us to partake in an intimate relationship with Him—knowing Him, talking to Him, and receiving from Him. I don’t know about you, but consuming God alone sustains me far more than anything else ever could.  In this consumption, we gain a living awareness of Him. ⁣

In the waiting, He sustains until the end. ⁣

In the weariness, He is our place of rest.

In the fire, He is refining and drawing us closer.

In the unknown, He is faithful and unchanging.

I created these cards for you to both consume His Word, and lift your voice back to Him.  I want to see you relentlessly pursuing that intimate relationship that sustains us in the trek.

These verses are God’s “conversation starters” to you, what will you say back?  How will you pray them over the journey ahead?  What friends will you intercede on behalf of?  What burdens will you lift to the One who cares for you?
