Radiate Hope

In a season when everything feels heavy, it’s tempting to fall into the trap of believing that things will never change or will never get better.  The idea of never can choke out hope, but as Christians we can trust that the Lord is working because He promises that he “acts on behalf of the one who waits for Him.” (Isaiah 64.4)  Waiting on the Lord means that we are actively putting our hope in Him, and that’s what sets us apart from the doom and gloom of this world.  Our hope should be fixed on the One who has prepared a place for us in Heaven if we put our trust in Him, the One who reminds us that this life is just temporary. (2 Cor. 4.18) The world needs this hope, our friends and family need this hope, and His Word calls us to be ready to give a reason for the hope that we have- to RADIATE HOPE.  (1 Peter 3:15) Because of what we know to be true about God’s character and because we know He keeps his promises, we can hold onto hope and outwardly profess that He is indeed faithful. (Hebrews 10.23)

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:18

But in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. 1 Peter 3.15

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10.23
